WARM WELCOME

Year: 2013

Country: Thailand

Category: Advertising Film

Duration: 03:00 min

This presentation movie by the Tourism Authority of Thailand is
a rapid-fire, а delightfully entertaining piece of film-making de-
signed to portray the kingdom’s primary tourism value proposition,
its “Thainess”, in a warm-hearted, sensitive manner. “Warm Wel-
come” shows a young Caucasian male on a whirlwind tour of the
entire country with its huge diversity of cultural and natural back-
drops, and using various means of transport; such as, taxis, tuk-tuks
(auto-rickshaws) and boats. A sequence of nearly 20 “Thainess”
activities that visitors can enjoy in the kingdom, shot in 30 loca-
tions, over nine days, are expertly edited into that clip. The finale
shows the young man realizing that “Amazing Thailand Always
Amazes You”.

GDANSK. GO BEYOND THE FRAME. TOUCH THE FREEDOM.

Year: 2011

Country: Poland

Category: Advertising Film

Duration: 00:30 min

The composition of the film, showing different aspects of the Gdansk
citizens’ life, is supposed to surprise the viewer with frequent changes
of perspective. The meaning of the image in the initial frame was
changing, with the camera rolling away, and showing a broader view,
the bigger part of reality. The frame was also symbolized with some
other props: a window, a frame of the painting, a mirror and a photo
camera lens. The people were getting out of the initial frame and
entering a new perspective, the world full of colors, freedom and cre-
ativity. Main characters of the commercials are the citizens of Gdansk,
unorthodox people who go against the routine and embody the idea
of going beyond the frame.
