Guidebook BG is a tourism TV show offering the viewer a tour
around known and unknown tourism destinations in Bulgaria. It
explores historical, cultural and archeological sites, and catches on
tape improvised encounters with the local people.
The host – Ralitsa Mitova, well known to the Bulgarian viewer for
hosting the music chart show “5 from 5”, impersonates a new image
– the adventurer. Raya asks around about the life of the small town
and village people, and the fairs, celebrations and authentic events
they run and manage, she walks door to door, paying visits to the
locals and having a bite and sip of the specials of the house. She
shows the audience the most interesting tourism spots in Bulgaria
through the eyes of a curious traveler.
The topic of the current program is “The International festival of the
folklore costume – Zheravna”. The shooting of the show took place
in August, 2011.
